Beyond the Zipline at Diamante

Kick off your day at Diamante Eco Adventure Park with the ocean-view Superman zipline—quick briefing, gear check, then you’re flying face-forward over the forest. Cap the run with a 30-ft controlled free fall (hello, butterflies!). On the Adventure Pass, the course keeps the fun going across the hanging bridge above the crocodile pond—snap the pic, breathe and smile.

Now switch gears to what makes Diamante unforgettable: the Animal Sanctuary. Aim for a sloth feeding at 9:30, 12:30, or 3:30, and if you’re here on Wednesday or Sunday, don’t miss jaguar enrichment—it’s the closest you’ll get to Costa Rica’s wild side while guides share the stories behind their care. After lunch, choose your vibe: a guided ATV ride along ocean-view and jungle trails (fun, safe, seriously photogenic) or a shaded horseback ride on calm, well trained horses (comfortable for all levels), or a hands-on Cultural Tour.

How to Plan Your Day

Morning — Zipline first

  • Check in, meet your guide, quick briefing + gear check
  • Superman flight with sweeping Pacific views
  • 30-ft controlled free fall
  • Adventure Pass: continue over the hanging bridge above the crocodile pond (great photo)

Late Morning — Animal Sanctuary

  • Time your walk to catch a sloth feeding (9:30 / 12:30 / 3:30)
  • If it’s Wednesday or Sunday, ask for jaguar enrichment times at check-in
  • See toucans, monkeys, crocodiles, tapirs and more—shaded paths, easy pace, lots to learn

Afternoon — Choose your ride

  • ATV Tour: guided, ocean-view & jungle trails, short climbs, lookouts
  • Horseback Ride: shaded routes, steady pace, great for beginners and families
  • Cultural Tour: hands-on coffee, cacao, and sugar-cane traditions (make your own chocolate)

Why It Works

Variety: adrenaline + wildlife + scenery in one place

Easy flow: fly in the morning, learn and explore mid-day, ride in the afternoon

Family-friendly: options for all comfort levels and ages

Sample Itineraries (Adventure Pass)

1) Classic Adventure Pass (Early Start)

8:45 Check in, meet your guide

9:00–10:15 Zipline course: ocean-view flight → 30-ft free fall → hanging bridge → arrive at the Animal Sanctuary

10:30–12:00 Animal Sanctuary (browse exhibits; line up for 12:30 sloth feeding)

12:15–13:00 Lunch on site

13:15–15:00 Pick your afternoon:

  • ATV: ocean-view & jungle trails (fun + photo stops), or
  • Horseback: shaded, easy pace for all levels, or
  • Cultural Tour: coffee, cacao, sugar-cane traditions + local flavors

15:30 Optional: swing back by the Sanctuary for the 3:30 sloth feeding, or head to the beach for a cool-down

Why this flows well: The zipline course naturally ends at the Sanctuary after the bridge—so you’re already there to start exploring.

2) Family-Friendly (Catch Two Wildlife Moments)

9:30–10:45 Zipline course → arrive at Sanctuary

11:00–12:00 Sanctuary loop + grab your spot for the 12:30 sloth feeding

12:45–13:30 Lunch

13:45–15:15 Horseback (shaded & gentle) or Cultural Tour (great with kids)

15:30 Optional sloth feeding (last one of the day) before you go

3) Wildlife-First Timing (Mid-Morning Zipline)

9:15–10:30 Animal Sanctuary at a relaxed pace; catch the 9:30 sloth feeding

11:00–12:15 Zipline course → arrive back at the Sanctuary area

12:30 Sloth feeding (see them again if you’d like)

12:45–13:30 Lunch

13:45–15:15 ATV or Horseback (choose your vibe)

Quick Planning Tips

  • The Adventure Pass zipline includes flight + 30-ft free fall + hanging bridge, and ends at the Sanctuary… walk right in.
  • Ask at check-in for today’s sloth feeding (9:30 / 12:30 / 3:30) and jaguar enrichment (Wed/Sun) times to target a session.
  • If you’re booking ATV or Horseback, a 1:30 pm start leaves easy room for lunch after the Sanctuary.
  • With little kids or mixed comfort levels, swap ATV for the Cultural Tour, you’ll still finish feeling like you did it all.
  • Note: The Aerial Pass includes the flight + 30-ft free fall (no bridge).
